Paw Paws is not just about my Pet Sitting business but also about the wonderful people and animals I meet. I originally started this business concentrating solely on cat sitting. However, I have now decided to widen the range of services available, including dog walking, to include a wider range of pets.
My name is Karen Cursons; when I left Glasgow 21 years ago I had a fear of
cats. My obsession with cats started around 18 years ago when I moved to
Leighton Buzzard with my
husband Andrew, he decided he wanted a cat having had them for most of his
childhood, however I wasn’t so
certain. After much thought I reluctantly gave in agreeing to take on two kittens Max and Mitzi, I fell in
love with them as soon as I saw them. The rest as they say is history. However
Max and Mitzi gave me a great deal of comfort after
our son Alistair was stillborn, I now feel it is time to return that love
and devotion by dedicating myself to
helping cats.
I am currently developing my cat knowledge and have recently started a Feline health care and behaviour course. If there is anything you would like to share about your cat then let me know, who knows there might be a story to tell. If you give me permission I will publish some of the stories on my web pages.
My website is about my work as a
pet sitter, my cat stories and about my rescue
work. I started doing voluntary cat rescue work in the mid 1990's as part of the
local Cats Protection branch. Due to the closure of the local branch I now have
little involvement in cat rescue work. All my clients have agreed for
their cats to be in my photo album and my stories are ones I have written. I
hope you enjoy my website and feel free to contact me at anytime by
email or phone in the UK (01525
378292).
In 2005 I decided to branch out into dog walking, to commemorate this change I have incorporated the pictures
of my first two clients on the front page of my web site.
On the left is Jess, I walk her three days a week whilst her owners are at work,
she is such a lovely dog I really enjoy my walks with her.
On the right is Haywood a lovely well behaved Golden Retriever, as he is
attending obedience classes with his owners I have a list of commands and
instructions so that he can continue to learn when I walk him. I just hope he
does not get confused by the Scottish accent!
